Illegal....Deadly, Dangerous, but so irresistable....

.......Everybody always wants what they can't have, especially in the club! This song, although about that girl in the club didn't originate from that idea. If you listen carefully, it could have a couple of meanings, but I went for the safe one! :-P As a songwriter I often look for inspiration when I don't immediately arrive at a concept while listening to a track. On the night I wrote this particular song I had writer's block. The track was so bangin to me I couldn't just leave it alone, but writing is not something you can force. Just as I was setting my songbook on my nightstand, I see this crazy sticker I got from this equally crazy store in Little Five Points (ATL) called Junkman's Daughter. DYNAMITE!! is what the sticker read, big and bold as hell, and the hook was born, with a little bit of law regarding the possession of dynamite, Bob Marley and "that girl" mixed with a little bit of JJ from "GoodTimes" The rest always begins to just flow after that. This is one of my favorites as well..(of course it is!..lol) and I decided why not start 2010 off with a BANG!

I've just been busy working and writing trying to deal with this Canadian weather here in Atlanta where we're not well equipped! So its 2010 and we've all made it through the first decade of the new millennium, Thank GOD for that!! And I wish everyone reading this and those who are not, an awesome, productive and successful New Year! May God bless you and your loved ones 10 FOLD this Year!

Hello my friends, so I'm back with another one!..This song called "Hey DJ" was inspired by those hot sweaty packed nights in your favorite club and the DJ is goin so hard, that you find yourself dancing into a perspiring frenzy. However, in the midst of all those people shoulder to shoulder, you spot the 5 Star chick of the night winding it up to the uptempo tracks, and instantly, you begin to plot your angle and your approach...If only the DJ could break the beat down and play something slow and grinding so you'd have a reason to slide up behind her and seal the deal...So you go put in your request for something slow and freaky and finally make your move...I present to you.."Hey DJ" .Good Luck!

What's Up ya'll! My name is Brandon Jerrod, singer/songwriter located in Atlanta, Georgia.
